VIDEO MONITORING

Video Monitoring

Immix integrates seamlessly with on-site video systems including video analytics and presents the central station operator with the detailed alarm information. All video images and operator actions are recorded for later assess- ment and review. Interactive video monitoring (IVM) is an advanced technology-based monitoring service that uses CCTV surveillance systems in conjunction with other alarm event detection or access systems to offer an alternative to on-site security Guarding. The Immix® platform works with a wide range of existing Cameras and DVR hardware and requires no specialist equipment at the remote location— often enabling a site to be brought online with no field visit.

IVM programs generate Recurring Monthly Revenue (RMR) streams for dealers while reducing Customers Operating costs through the reduction of onsite security staff. IVM technology enables security systems to be moni- tored remotely through security cameras on site that send alarm event data to trained response personnel at the central station.

Typical services include:

  • Alarm and Incident Monitoring
  • Virtual Guard Tours
  • Access Management
  • Management Information and Analytic Data Services

Video Analytics

Video Analytics, also known as IVS (Intelligent Video Surveillance) is a new emerging market for the security industry allowing users to monitor and secure specific areas with CCTV surveillance systems. Through the Immix® Platform Alarm Central LLC can easily monitor places of interest with sophisticated technology that makes detecting threats or unwanted visitors simple, fast and effective.

For Alarm Central LLC utilizing the video analytics to reliably detect threats, significantly reduces false alarms. This results is improved service quality as operators are able to easily detect real security events from false alarms.

The Immix integration of the video analytic devices incorporates the bounding boxes for both the alarm event and the live view within the standard Immix operator workstation screen. These bounding boxes give a new level of event detection for the operator and allow them to instantly focus on the cause of the alarm.

How it works

The Immix® software platform delivers a single point of alarm management and control for access, video surveillance, life safety and intrusion systems in a single intelligent, auditable and manageable system, providing a powerful easy to operate central control point. Immix® builds on the investments in equipment, systems and networks already in place and establishes a stable, vendor independent, operational platform that maximizes the benefit of previous expenditures and is designed to integrate new technologies seamlessly as they emerge over time.

Access Control

Immix® integrates a remote locations access control and CCTV system to provide more comprehensive alert signalling coverage to the Central station and a means of providing remote access control without the need for on site guard staff.

How it works

Immix® captures alerts and alarms from the on site access control system such as a forced door, an invalid card swipe or a simple request for entry and automatically integrates the alert with the on site CCTV system, presenting the alert instantly to the central station operator with a detailed alarm screen and an integrated video stream from a camera in the vicinity of the alert. The Operator has the ability to open doors to grant access and additional features such as two-way audio can be used to enhance central station service to the remote location.

Audio

Two-way audio presents several unique challenges to the central station .Central stations need a simple method of connect to multiple locations while their operators needed an efficient way to “talk down” to their sites. They also required a method of recording conversations in order to maintain an audit trail of events. In the field they needed a way to turn existing analog devices like an Aiphone intercom or speaker box into IP so they could take advantage of the cost savings and scaling potential of IP communication. The combination of devices like the Digital Acoustics IP7 and its integration with Immix solved all these challenges.

How it works

Immix® captures an alarm from an on site door or intercom button. The alarm is presentable to the Alarm Central LLC operator in the detailed Immix alarm screen. Immix then displays to the operator live video feeds at the site of the alarm, they instantly can verify the alarm, and then using the integrated audio feature they can conduct a one or two way conversation with the person on-site. Using integrated access control they can then open doors to grant access. Everything the operator says using the integrated audio features is recorded by Immix for future playback.
